Hi,

I you are running mandrake 8.0 look here : http://www.littlewhitedog.com/reviews_other_00022.asp

If you are running mandrake 9.0 note the following:

I have an ati NVIDIA tnt2 32mg agp card and it works just dandy with these drivers

NVIDIA_kernel-2.4.19-16mdk-1.0-3123.1mdk.i586.rpm ( you may have to look for this one.) <http://www.shockfamily.net/cedric/linux/NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.i586.rpm>

NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.i386.rpm <http://www.shockfamily.net/cedric/linux/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.i386.rpm>
you may also need these as well
ftp://ftp.rutgers.edu/pub/mandrake/Mandrake/9.0/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/kernel-source-2.4.19-16mdk.i586.rpm
ftp://ftp.rutgers.edu/pub/mandrake/Mandrake/9.0/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/libncurses5-devel-5.2-27mdk.i586.rpm

follow these instructions very carefully :

install these rpm's from a console as root : rpm -ivh NVIDIA_kernel-2.4.19-16mdk-1.0-3123.1mdk.i586.rpm <http://www.shockfamily.net/cedric/linux/NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.i586.rpm>
or the package manager, or MCC .do the same with the other NVIDIA driver , and the additional packages if needed.

edit your /etc/X11/XF86config-4 file using these instructions :

If you already have an XF86Config-4 file working with a different driver
(such as the 'nv' or 'vesa' driver), then all you need to do is find
the relevant Device section and replace the line:

Driver "nv"
(or Driver "vesa")

with
Driver "nvidia"
In the Module section, make sure you have:

Load "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:
Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"

if they exist. There are also numerous options that can be added to
the XF86Config file to fine-tune the NVIDIA XFree86 driver.
