I've never used the RPMs, as compiling always worked better for me. So...I'm 
not sure if the locations have changed or not...but....the win32 codecs here 
go into:

/usr/lib/win32

and then you pass that to the software while compiling it:

--with-win32libdir=/usr/lib/win32

Just a thought...
