Are you doing your administration and configuration through Webmin's
server applet for Postfix? If so, then you might want to make sure that
under the GENERAL OPTIONS you put your true hostname - aside from
"localhost" and all that jazz - and make sure that the machines you're
using as clients have the linux box' IP address in their hosts files
(and a reboot); also make sure that under NETWORK INTERFACES FOR
RECEIVING MAIL you have your static IP for the server in there. Restart
Postfix and you should be right. You might also want to make sure that
the services IPOP3, IPOP2 are running system-wide - they should be
already running, but ya never know...

Mister Teatime had a truly brilliant mind, but it was brilliant like a fractured mirror, all marvellous facets and rainbows but, ultimately, also something that was broken.

The client is running windowze and it's pointing to the DNS server (192.168.0.1) to resolve the names. So, it still need the hosts file? And about Webmin's server applet for Postfix? I've never used this before but I would appreciate if you could give me the url so I can give a try. Until now, i've done all the config editing the main.cf file and i didn't set up a pop server yet. According to the howtos the messages should be in the folder specified by the home_mailbox variable in the main.cf in my case it's home_mailbox=mailbox, but the messages aren't there.
