Hmm. Linux is "foreign" software, at least from the standpoint that much of the development did not occur in China. This could be a good thing, an impetus for open source, but it could be also a bad thing - and just another way for the Chinese government to monopolize the OS market and therefore put in backdoors to help track their citizens' activities.
