Ouch! No use vi or emacs. Quick guide to vi: i enter insert mode <esc> exit insert mode ZZ write file and exit :w write file :q exit without writing. x delete character (delete and backspace work in insert mode.) That's enough to do what you want. -- Richard Urwin
