Mine:
# lspcidrake -v | fgrep AUDIO
snd-emu10k1 : Creative Labs|SB Live! (audio) [MULTIMEDIA_AUDIO]
(vendor:1102 device:0002 subv:1102 subd:8027)

OK, that tells me that the system has found "the card" which seems based on a
Creative SB chipset; and loaded a module for a SoundBlaster Live! See below
for driver comparison.

Mine (SB Live Value Digital circa 1999) uses the snd-emu10k1 driver without
trouble. Your seems to be using the "other" drivers (audigy) and either
should be fine, but there have been reports that the audigy drivers have
caused people grief. You can try to change it in the draksound dialogue.
Click the "Run configuration Tool" button to access the next dialogue where
the choices should be.

Mine:
# grep sound-slot /etc/modules.conf alias sound-slot-0
snd-emu10k1

I would have snipped a lot of the next copy'n'paste but the "great minds"
around here may learn something that helps you or someone through the
comparison.

I see the CD volume is set to zero.Other than the fact that you have your
volumes set to 100% I don't see anything weird here. <g>

That last one just says there are currently no programs accessing the sound
server and therefore no programs/apps requesting the card. No worries, mine
does the same thing unless I start a player and listen to something. Thusly:

 /sbin/fuser -v /dev/dsp

                     USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/dsp nanook 20751 f.... artsd

The difference is I just started xmms and told it to play the OGG stream from
Virgin Radio.

I really hope this comparison will help someone figure out what the devil is
happening 'cause other than switching to the drivers I'm using I can't think
of anything else that will help you get sound working again.

All the best;
Charlie
