If this is a one off exchange I'd go for FTP, however if this is something you want to do on a regular basis have a look at unison at http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/ This programme syncronises files or directories on different machines and WILL work cross platform (although I've not tried that myself). I use it to keep my desktop and laptop syncronised. Cheers Nigel
