Also on Tuesday, Fujitsu's European subsidiary, Fujitsu Siemens
Computers (Holding) BV, unveiled a new workstation based on a

Devices Inc. The Celsius V810, which will not be sold in the U.S.,
will contain as many as two AMD Opteron processors. It will have a
maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz.

With the high-end V810, Fujitsu Siemens becomes the first major
computer maker to sell an Opteron-based workstation, an AMD
spokesman said.

Fujitsu is also working on a mainframe-class Itanium-based system
that is expected to ship some time in 2005, according to Rodriguez.

The V810 will support as much as 16G bytes of RAM (random access
memory) and will have a maximum storage capacity of 147G bytes. The
RXI600 server comes with as much as 32G bytes of memory and will
have a maximum storage capacity of 438G bytes.

Both systems will ship with either Windows or Linux.
