HI I downloaded Mandrake 10.0 yesterday from ftp://ftp.esat.net/pub/linux/mandrake-iso/i586/ it took about 5 hours to download the 3 iso files.
Can 10.0 be installed from ISO files on my hard drive.
(I want a complete install of 10.0 not upgrade.)
As long is home is a separate partition and you have no plans to resize, you're safe there. I would really just keep a copy of /etc since all config info is there and my /boot/grub/menu.lst because I use grub. The only other thing you would probably need is /usr/local if you added anything there.
