I used (and still use) Using Linux - Que books. Mine's an old edition, but there is a more up to date one. Despite its age, it has served me well.
One I regret spending money on is The Complete Reference - Linux from McGraw Hill. Every time I have tried to use it I have found myself going back to the Que book. The only time I followed it word for word I had to come back to the list, only to be told that it was wrong! And I had paid £30 for the privilege!
