lets see heat flys no guns you are 30 years behind ;-)

I tend to think we're still ahead of y'all - we don't have the same level of violence, nor the same level of stress....(g)

Hasn't yourcrime rate been rising since you got rid of your guns?

Our crime rate is rising because of YOUR television shows and YOUR music...ahem.

Oh, Lord have mercy. Now he blames it all on another country on a continent in a different hemisphere.

But Steve, don't you think it's a little strange that the programming
never really changed, yet the gun ownership did....and to make the
coincidence even more supernatural, the crime rate rise coincided not
with any programming change, but yet with the gun ownership laws? I
find that an absolutely amazing set of coincidences.....

Was/is there a crime rate rise? Yes. Is that rise any larger than it was prior to the change in gun ownership laws? No. Are there less crimes involving guns since? Yes.

Look it up and stop blowing smoke. :^)

I'm afraid that the statistical analysis has been done by those much
more qualified and educated on the subject than you; both on the topic
of guns and on the topic of statistical analysis, and on both combined. You really should read more on this topic before you make yourself look
too much worse. Your little paragraph betrays your complete ignorance
on this subject.

yes, gun murders might be less... they are much more likely to use aids infected blood in a syringe now..
I'd prefer to be shot, at least there is some chance you'll survive.. get jabbed by an aids needle, and your likely to suffer a slow, painful and humiliating death.

The problem with the report that trevor posted, is that its based on the stats from the same government that put the gun laws in place in the first place.. just how trustable is it???

I watch the news here, and there are loads of gun related offences going on, like security guards being held up just cos the crims wanted their guns... stuff like that..

I'm not convinced that Australia is a better place because my father can't hunt kangaroo's anymore... (had to hand over the rifles he had for nearly 20 years)

I'll say it again, the crims did not hand in their guns...
