I know emacs supports bookmarking.  I'm not sure if that's the route you
want to take though.

Anyone know of a good text viewer (other than "less") for
large textfiles? I'd prefer one that will let you
"bookmark" where you were (for things like, say the
Gutenberg project, etc) and resume later.
