Thanks Derek for your help - it is appreciated. It would have helped if I had looked for "Extensions" in the correct place. Dictionary installed as root, and it is now working. A thought. I wonder if it would help reading Stephen's messages if I installed the Australian Dictionary? ;-) Keith
