Then you just pass the raw link to mplayer on the command line, like so: mplayer -cache 512 rtsp://video.c-span.org/project/c04/c04090104_rnc2.rm As long as we can't extract raw links from javascript, we will continually be at the mercy of any website that wants to be a bitch. Someone needs to write an all purpose java plugin that will "search and destroy" embedded javascript, spitting out raw urls and/or passing them onto applications that we select.
