To be honest with you, Stephen Kuhn and Joe Hill I didn't make much
effort about changing it. It annoyed me so I removed it and don't want
to install it again.

The problem I have (I won't dig into the details) occurs on my
mandrake's 2.6.3, sarge's 2.6.8 and debian's 2.4.18 kernels. I've
checked it with lm_sensors and mbmon. I suppose it's more like a
mainboard not sensors related problem.
