Hello All, Not sure what happened to my PC today. Being a newbie to Linux, I need help.
At first my mouse froze then the PC, so I hit the restart button after nothing would work. On the start up the boot loader came up and then I got a warning that there was a file missing on start up, then it crashed again. The next time boot loader came up I selected fail safe and it took along time to rebuild the files. NOW - when I boot up the boot loader comes up and I pick Linux and it says a lot of things failed on start up and I get the login black screen(x window). I can log in as myself and root, my files are there however the GUI is gone. What do I need to do to get the GUI back up and running, I hope this is enough information. TIA, B.J.
