Yes - I realise that.  Coming from another background, I expected it to be on 
the lines of File-Save-Save as a Template - and it had saved over the 
original before I realised what had happened.

No, at least I think not.  I have that turned on, but I can't remember whether 
it was when I did this.

It's all caused by my unfamiliarity with OOo.  I had big problems a couple of 
years ago with it, and I haven't used it since, but I ought to get 
familiarity with it again, as I am trying to get my windows-oriented family 
onto it.  I'll get there.  Thanks for the help.
