I think Kppp overwrites the /etc/resolv.conf with its
own settings each time it's used. This is to allow us
to use more than 1 ISP without editing /etc/resolv.conf
each time we change. So the DNS *must* be entered
be entered correctly in Kppp.

To do so:

Click Kppp - click setup - click on the account you
are connecting with - click edit - click DNS tab -
check that your ip's DNS addresses are entered
correctly in the *largest* box - if not, remove them
& enter the correct ones by typing them
(one at a time) in the middle box & clicking add.
