Roman,
        I had the same problem and I fixed it by deleting all the offending
entries in the /home/[user name]/.kde/share/applink and /home/[user
name]/.kde/share/mimelnk/(and all folders within).  It took a couple of
restarts to get rid of all the buggers but it works fine now.
