Jeffery,
I had the same problem with my CD-RW, when I first installed 7.0. I
found the answer here:
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/hardware/hremov3.html
The CD-RW section is at the bottom. On my system Mandrake had correctly
done steps 1 through 7 all I had to do was steps 8 and 9.
