Thanks Denis

Have re-connected this dual parallel/serial modem to serial in Win. Still
awaiting my LM7.0? pack and will expirement once it is installed. Microcom
say their advanced parallel technology will give up to 300,000 bps modem to
computer data transfer speeds. The theory seems good but the telephone lines
are so very slow, the modem will not even connect at 28.8Kbps. A direct
satellite download conn is too expensive - I have to rely on obtaining a
CD(s) for my Mandrake updates by snail mail.

Regards

Alan (South Africa)

They exist,
