[newbie] Hard Dive info. pleas

My hard drive now is 20 gigs and the one that I can add is only 4 gigs. I was thinking it would be nice to have Linux on its own drive all together. I guess I would use the whole Hard drive for Linux, unless that would cause problems?   Stephen
