[newbie] checking e-mail with Netscape

Hello,

Why I cann't get automatically the new e-mails? I have Nestcape 4.07
running on my HP Vectra, Pentium 120, with the linux kernel 2.0.35
(RedHat 5.2).

I setup into the preferences the box "check for new mail" every 10
minutes, but I must to check it manually.

I would appreciate your help. Greetings,
