Hi:
I have installed both KDE and GNOME that come with LM7.1. I configured
my sound card (Creative Vibra SB16) using sndconfig. In KDE sound is
working properly. But in GNOME the problem is this:
* When I enable sound, starting of GNOME becomes very slow. Sometimes
it won't start at all. Then I should restart X by pressing
Alt+Ctrl+Backspace. After this restart of X, GNOME starts but
behaves very sluggishly. Even then, only the root user gets sound
in GNOME and not a non-privileged user.
Can anybody solve this problem. Thanks in advance.
