I not sure how (or when) I did but I've lost the content of /etc/sysconfig/network, and I think it's responsible for these bootup/shutdown errors showing in /var/log/netconf.log: Executing some Sysv init scripts Executing: /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S50inet restart * /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S50inet: [: =: unary operator expected * /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S50inet: [: =: unary operator expected > Stopping INET services: [ OK ] * /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S50inet: [: =: unary operator expected > Starting INET services: [ OK ] In the process of this stuffup I also lost my local host and domain names. Am I correct (or even close to the mark) with this assupmtion? Cheers -- ICQ# 89345394 Mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
