Hi Rosiher,
If your using the download version of 7.2, the kernel should already have scsi
emulation enabled. I have a LG 8,4,32 (HP re-labled) burner and it works out of the
box on the download ISO image.

Subject: [newbie] Cannot supermount CDs or floppy
I recently re-compiled my kernel in order to provide SCSI-simulation support for my
CDRW (My understanding is you have to trick the system into thinking your IDE CDRWs
are actually SCSI devices) after doing this all my CDROM and floppy directories, came
up as locked directories. I went into linuxconf and changed the partition locations
from /mntcdrom and /mnt/cdrom2 to /dev/scd0 and /dev/scd01, disabled the supermount.
This unlocked the directories, but I would like to use supermount again. Anybody have
any suggestions. I am very new to Linux, I am using linux-mandrake version 7.2
