I have been using linux for a Windows file servers for about 6 years now. My Winders PC's run Office 2000 from the linux share. You just need to get some disk space and set up samba correctly. There is plenty of help here in the newsgroup. I agree with the following caveats: 1) the machine came with Win 98 and I continued to use it; 2) I have been unable to get Mandrake 7.2 to run on the machine satisfactorily; 3) I have never been able to set up a Linux fileserver that would work with Windows computers. Unfortunately, I have 2 Win systems on my network (my wife refuses to change and I have a WIN2K/WIN98 workstation to play games with.)
