For some reason, Netscape seems to look for a connection before it fully displays itself.....unless you're willing to wait forever. I have this problem when we get hit in the middle of our sessions with a change in lease of our IP from our DSL (pppoe). Opera, on the other hand does not seem to have this problem. I know this because I have to use the browser to enter the setup for our Linksys BEFSR41 router to "disconnect" and then "connect" to get the connection going again...
