Hi all.
I am installing Linux Mandrake 7.2 on an AMD Abit Kt7-raid board. I believe
that the default kernel includes support for the HPT370 RAID controller so
it
should not be a problem. However, running LILO I get LI but nothing more.
I have tried GRUB as well with no luck.
Config:
hde: windows drive IBM 45Gb DTLA drive
hdg1-6: linux with hg1 as /boot IBM 45Gb DTLA drive
lilo installed on boot sector of hde (which used to boot standalone into
windows).
The only idea I get with the docs is to check the 1024 cylinder limit. This
is fine - well below.
I have installed many versions of linux over the years so I do broadly know
what I am doing but have never really had any lilo problems so am stumped.
What should I
do. The drive will mount after using lilo+kernel on a floppy so is
definitely visible to linux kernel.
Please help.
