[newbie] 8.0 ISO files. Install

Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me how to install the 8.0 ISO files?  My neighbor
dowloaded them to cd's yet when i reboot it doesn't invoke them.  When i
go into /root/mnt/cdrom  the file is there.  If I click on it, a window
appears asking what application to associate it with?  How do i install
the 8.0 ISO files?
