I'm having problems with my Compaq. It's a 300 Mhz PII, 64 Mb. I don't know how to get Linux to find my modem. All info I can find about the modem in Windows is this: Compaq Presario 56K-DFi. It's installed as COM4 under win, using IRQ 10. But when I query my computer for modems under the setup in kppp it's says, "Sorry modem busy" or something like that. Anyone that has any experience with Linux on a Compaq machine (I hate this computer). Btw. For the moment I have an external modem conected to /dev/cua0. It's an old 28800 modem. It works fine, but a bit slow. Daniel Sundahl
