I'm trying to compile PostgreSQL and I get the following error :

checking for g++ ...no
checking for gcc ....gcc
checking whether the C++ compiler  (gcc      )  works ....no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot 
create executables.

Is C++ and g++ on the install disks?  I'm using 7.2 power pack.  Is this all 
I have to install?
