[newbie] Easy Install Error

First error to appear is:
"ERROR! Could not uncompress second state ramdisk"

ON pressing the enter key as asked:

"Fatal error in state 1:  Accessing corrupt shared library."

This after four days of downloading the cd iso for 8.0!  Can this be made
easier, or explained in some manner?

Or is the norm holding:  If it can go wrong for me - it does?
