The commands &wich chmod /bin/chmod echo $path allowed me to do the script. echo "Hello, how are you" >chmod u+x hello >hello >Hello, how are you > This is what it should look like, echo "Hello, how are you" $chmod u+x hello $hello Hello, how are you $ I am still haveing trouble, maybe I should try a different one so that I don't lose my patience.
