It might be easier to download the ISO images and burn them into CDs. Mandrake 8.1 comes with 3 images. The seond and third CDs, although nice to have, are nevertheless recommended as they contain lots of goodies too. If you don't like the idea of downloading those CD images, perhaps some other gurus in this list might give some pointers on how to install from the actual directory tree itself. Cheers!
