Apparently not. Here is a howto on how to run halflife in Linux via wine, and it says a windows install is not necessary. You can run halflife's installation program from wine itself. http://lhl.linuxgames.com/howto/half-life-HOWTO-0.4.1.html I haven't tried it yet. As halflife, despite its age, is still a full price game :/ Matt
