I just reinstalled 8.1, and now I can't change my screen resolution. In XFdrake I've tried several different settings, including lower resolutions and color depth's. When I test the configuration the screen goes black for a few seconds. When it comes back I get a message that says "an error has occred, try changing some parameters." I have installed 8.1 on this same machine before and have not had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
