VIM is a command-line text editor (if you know UNIX it called vi). If you're
new, maybe you should try some more user-friendly text editor (e.g. nedit or
glimmer)
so I guess this person wanted to tell you to edit the file he was
indicating.... (btw, just in case you are really new to Linux/UNIX, this
files are in your home directory. To access it via the command line : cd
$HOME)
