That should create a link to the documents folder on the desktop. You
might have to customize the icon to something you like.

If this is 2006, there is a bug with links to locations that prevents
the link name from showing under the icon. Right-clicking the link and
looking at properties will cause the name to re-appear until a refresh
of the desktop or a folder.

This is a reported bug, and affects fish://, sftp:// and URL links too.
