The Super CoolScan 2000 (LS-2000) is SCSI-2, that is - it uses MICRO-50 connections. At this time, I am not aware of a firewire or USB version/option. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with the scanners in the years to come. Mac has always had SCSI (back to Mac Plus days), so most vendors didn't include a SCSI card with the Mac version, but most include a cheap SCSI interface with the PC version. Both ship with a DB-25 to (Micro) DB-50 cable. I love my LS-2000. If the price is out of your budget, you way want to look at the CoolScan III (LS-30), http://www.nikonusa.com/products/products.taf?id=176. If you want to look at some of the documentation, or see what you may be in store for, look at the US Nikon Imaging Tech support page at http://www.nikontechusa.com/. -Mike Baranowski
