you should check the the technical functionality of the Metz 40 MZ3 for the 
preflash function. As far as I know has the preflash function as a third party 
flash the Metz 50 MZ5 only. IMO is this function for SB25/26/27/28 the greatest 
advantage of this devices. You get about 99% exact exposered results with "3D 
multi-sensor flash" and AF-D lenses. The fill-in flash works perfect. I never 
used the FP-function. Maybe IŽll try it if I want to shoot with 1/4000 shutter 
speed a waterdrop which falls down to a colored watersurface.
