step-down ring to use the 62mm Nikon 6T double element close-up lens on an
80-200/2.8 with a 77mm filter.  Wouldn't this combination vignette?  I see
that Nikon doesn't offer a 77mm closeup lens. >

You may want to consider the Canon 77mm 2-element model 500D close-up
