Greetings Marc,

You asked what the red point within the DOF scale might be on your recently
acquired lens.  That's the focusing adjustment point for infrared film.
Since IR doesn't focus on the same plane as sunlight, you have to adjust
your focus accordingly.  When shooting with IR film, focus normally, then
note where the normal focal point on the lens is located & move it over to
the red point.  You are now focused for IR.

If you haven't ever shot IR before, give it a try.  It's VERY interesting.
