Nikon F@ Lenses and Metering

Hi, 

I have a Nikon F2. I have 2 questions: 
Do these lenses (non AF) work on any of the newer Nikon cameras in
manual mode? 

And my photomic metering seems to stop working at quarter second speed
without 
regard for the f-stop setting. Does anyone know if this is fixable
without sending it to a 
shop?
