It has been discussed recently on the list so you may want to get more info
out of the archives, but this lens needs a thinner edged filter so that you
won't get any vignetting when using the lens at the 24mm end.

BTW-Anytime you put a filter (whether it be glass or resin) on the front of
a lens you will degrade your images to some degree. The better the glass
filter the less degradation. So if you can afford it buy a better filter.

Another way of protecting your lens would be to get the lens hood for this
lens, it will offer some protection..
