Art, I'm having a similar problem with a used 35-70mm 2.8 lens I purchased. If I hold the lens in my hand and rotate my wrist, I can hear what sounds like a ball bearing rattling around inside. On occasion, this "thing" prevents me from pulling the zoom all the way back to 70mm. It even once seemed to stop the autofocus from turing the focusing barrel. If I slowly rotate the camera back and forth along the lens' axis, the full range of motion is restored. Anthony Roach [EMAIL PROTECTED]
