The filter drawer you got with the lens is the gelatin filter adaptor,
which comes with the lens along with the 39mm filter drawer. When I
bought mine when they were first out, both came with my lens. So far, I
haven’t used the gel adaptor, but have found that the lens will work w/o
any filter, if needed, though the optical design calls for a
behind-the-lens filter. B&H should be able to order you the proper
replacement 39mm filter adaptor.
