Hi Marc, The FA was discontinued shortly after the F801 was introducted. If it had a longer sales period, then I believe it would be more popular than the FE2. It handles much better than the FE2 (and F3), but the top is polycarbonate and not metal like the FE2. Also, Some people prefer the needle meter, as they can tell exactly how much off exposure the reading is. The FA has programme mode, and AMP metering whereas the FE2 has not. Also the FA takes the faster MD15. Hope this helps, Sover
