Nikoners, I read the list frequently but rarely post. I just got off the phone ordering an F5, SB-28, and a used 35-70mm F2.8 D lens. This is gonna be a great kit to replace my ageing FE-2. I'm after some opinions regarding the 35-70mm F2.8 D and the new 28-70 F2.8D ED-IF. Some things I do know are: They share the same max aperture 2.8; similiar in focal length but that's it. 28-70 has the silent wave motor and an internal focus, which is real appealing (but how necessary on a short zoom)? Is it worth the extra $400-500 bucks. I bought the 35-70mm for $498 used, mint like new; but wanted to hold off for the 28-70mm; should I have waited? -- Kevin J.
