Hi guys. Some of you have questioned the practicality of AF-S in short as well as medium telephoto lenses. An advantage I have come to realize is the ability to override AF with manual focus. This is quite helpful when you find that the subject lacks contrast that it will be impossible to use AF, or your subject is moving and is positioned in the viewfinder where there is no AF sensor. This ability to instantaneously shift between AF & MF comlements creativity wherein creativity is not limited to the five focus sensors of an F5. Happy shooting.
